Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Wellness Wednesdays

Tai Chi Wellness Wednesday, by Tyler Kung Fu and Fitness. Come learn the basics of Tai Chi! October 15th 10:30 a.m. in the Makerspace. 

Our new program, Wellness Wednesdays, aims to help you meet your wellness and health goals and learn new things about taking care of your most important resource: Your own body! Wellness Wednesdays meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. in the third-floor Makerspace.

 

Brandon Jones, from Tyler Kung Fu Fitness, will teach us the basics and benefits of the Chinese martial art and exercise practice of Tai Chi.
