Fourth of July Celebration at Lindsey Park

The City of Tyler invites the community to celebrate at the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration on Friday, July 4, at Lindsey Park, located at 12557 Spur 364 West. The event is free and open to the public.

The gates open at 3 p.m., and live music, food trucks, vendors and activities will continue throughout the evening. The fireworks show will begin at dark, around 9 p.m.

What to Know Before You Go

To prepare for the celebration, Lindsey Park will be closed to the public until 3 p.m. on July 4. The only entrance will be the gate on Spur 364. Alcohol, smoking and personal fireworks are not allowed in the park.

Attendees are asked to arrive early for prime parking. Parking is first-come, first-served, and carpooling is highly recommended to help ease traffic congestion. No parking is allowed on the soccer fields. Once lots are full, parking along Spur 364 will be permitted, but we ask that you please turn off your vehicle if parked on the roadside. Officers and City staff will be on site to direct traffic and assist with parking. Please follow all directions to help keep the event running smoothly.

Entertainment will include music from DJ Karlos and Liz Montoya. Other fun activities will take place during the event, including:

  • Free mini-golf near the Kids Fun Zone from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Find the Flag Hunt – Find a flag somewhere at the park and turn it in for a prize!

  • Stars and Stripes Parade - Children can participate in a march around the park led by the Tyler Police Department. If participating, all children are asked to report near the Kids Fun Zone at 7:15 p.m.

  • Kids Fun Zone – backyard games and activities

Free Tyler Transit Shuttles

Starting at 6 p.m., Tyler Transit buses will run every 10 to 15 minutes to transport attendees to the park at no charge from Tyler Junior College West Campus (1530 S SW Loop 323).

Traffic Advisory for Spur 364 After the Show

Starting at 9 p.m., Spur 364 will be closed to all traffic between Loop 323 and Greenbriar Road.
