Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Spoken Word Slam

 Spoken Word Slam on June 28th at 6 p.m. An opportunity for poets and storytellers to share their work, inspired by the theme "What Colors Your World?"

Poets and Storytellers of Tyler, come join us for a Spoken Word Slam! Ten Poets and Ten Storytellers will perform an original work based on the theme "What Colors Your World?" Three knowledgeable judges will decide who is the best Poet and Teller!  Performers need to register, but those attending to spectate do not.
