Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

2025 State of the City

The State of the City luncheon and address with Mayor Don Warren will be on Thursday, May 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center, at 2000 W. Front St. The Leadership Tyler Class 38 graduation will be held during the ceremony. Tickets to the event can be purchased at 2025 State of the City Luncheon, Thursday May 22 Tickets, Thu, May 22, 2025 at 11:30 AM | Eventbrite.
