Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Baby Block Party

For children ages Birth to 3 years. Auditorium (First Floor).

Are you wondering how your child is currently in their developmental milestones?  Come join us for the Baby Block Party for a free developmental screening with your child – one month to three years.  Enjoy fun activities with your children! There will be lots of community resource booths, free Kona ice, and giveaways.  It will be held in the library's auditorium on the first floor. Register online here.
