Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

  1. Call meeting to order.
  2. Conduct a roll call, establish a quorum, and explain the rules of decorum.
  3. Discuss and consider minutes from the previous board meeting on October 23, 2024.
  4. Review and discuss information on the establishment of a rental fee for external groups using the Taylor Auditorium:

    5. a. Review of the standard library practices regarding rental spaces, including information from the Lewisville, Longview, Taylor, and Troup Libraries. 

    b. Review of the current rental rates for comparable City venues, including the Tyler Rose Garden Center and the Glass Recreation Center.

  5. Share and discuss the following library statistics:
