Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Craft Paper Marbling

 Learn super fun, easy, and inexpensive marbling techniques to create your own craft paper! Juliana Wynn, one of the Library employees from our Reference Department, will be leading the class. She encourages patrons to bring and wear aprons however that is not required.

On the Second and Fourth Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m., we invite our patrons to join us in the Taylor Auditorium as we break down our comfort zones, try unfamiliar things, and discover new hobbies!
