Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Art 4 Fun: "Copper Embossing"

Geared for Grades 3 and up. Makerspace (Third Floor).

For grade 3 and up: sign up to try your hand at copper embossing. Copper embossing is an old, traditional craft.  This project uses thin, sheet copper attached to pasteboard backing onto which a design is "tooled".  Registration is required. Sign up here.
