Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Library Calendar

City accepting donations for Panhandle wildfire recovery

As many of our West Texas neighbors continue to push through the Panhandle wildfires, the City of Tyler is collecting supplies to help with recovery. Donations can be dropped off until March 18 at the Downtown Recycling Center at 418 N Bois D'Arc Ave.

 

We're accepting:

  • Canned goods
  • Nonperishable food
  • Rabbit, goat, deer, dog and cat food
  • Tools
  • Rakes
  • Snow shovels
  • Paper products
  • Plates/cups/ plasticware
  • Paper towels
  • Clothing detergent
  • Cleaning products/rags
