Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

MPO Transportation Policy Committee meeting

The Tyler Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Transportation Policy Committee will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. The meeting will be at the Tyler Development Center, Large Conference Room, 423 W. Ferguson St.


The Transportation Policy Committee will consider the following items:
-Consider approving amendments to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to revise the percentage of Federal versus State funds being allocated toward the widening of FM 2493 (Old Jacksonville Hwy) to six lanes from Loop 323 to FM 2813.
-Consider adopting the 2022-2023 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) to allocate funds to complete the Railroad Inventory and Analysis.
