Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Transit Public Meeting

WHAT: Tyler Transit will host an additional open house meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 5:30 p.m. to notify the public of proposed service changes. Proposed changes include a price increase for all Fixed Route and Paratransit Route fares, route modifications, and discontinuing all Saturday services, except for Paratransit medical services. Medical services include doctor appointments and hospital visits. 

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 5:30 p.m.

WHERE: Glass Recreation Center, Large Meeting Room, located at 501 W. 32nd St.
