Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

Library Calendar

City Council Meeting

The Tyler City Council meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 212 N. Bonner Ave.

The agenda is available on our website the Friday prior to the meeting. Visit Agendas | Tyler, TX (cityoftyler.org) for the City Council agenda. 

Any person wishing to address the Council on agenda items must sign in with the tablet kiosks. Speakers are asked to keep their remarks to a limit of five minutes.

Tyler City Council meetings are broadcast live on Optimum Cable Channel 3 and then reaired at 2 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Council meetings are also available on YoutubeFacebook and our website.
