Support Library Programs

The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is a 501(c)3 all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Tyler Public Library by providing funds and programs that would not otherwise be possible. Learn more about the Friends and how you can support Library programs!

The Friends have been able to provide a variety of enhancements to the library including:

  • Enhanced children's story time activities & supplies
  • Special speakers & performers
  • 3D printer & supplies
  • Reading programs & prizes
  • Public copiers - includes free scan to USB service
  • Seed library upkeep
  • Programming supplies
  • And so much more!

The City of Tyler wants to ensure that Tyler Public Library Advisory Board meetings are accessible to persons with disabilities.  AGENDA

 1. Call meeting to order.

2. Conduct a roll call, establish a quorum, and explain rules of decorum.

3. Discuss and consider minutes from previous board meeting held on January 26, 2022.

4. Conduct a public hearing to consider Request for Reconsideration of Library Materials. Pursuant to Library Policies, individuals may request from the Library Board the reconsideration of a selection decision of library material at the Tyler Public Library. Discuss and consider Library Patron Request for Reconsideration: Blue is the Warmest Color by Jul Maroh.

5. Adjourn.
