On Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at City Park, located at 200 W. Queen St., the Historic Preservation Board invites the public to learn how preserving the past contributes to a stronger future for all of Tyler.  

City Park's spring pond, designated as one of Tyler's first local landmarks in 2005, will be at the center of the event. Residents can explore the park's history, connect with neighbors, and help care for this historic treasure.

Members of the Historic Preservation Board will share stories about the City's historic designations, from local landmarks to the Half Mile of History, and explain how preservation efforts help maintain Tyler's unique character.
